Melbury Court care home Colleagues get the coronavirus vaccineMore Colleagues at HC-One’s Melbury Court care home in County Durham have now had their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

A small team from Dunelm Medical Practice came to the home once again to administer the injections to another group of Colleagues.

The first batch of staff received the vaccine last month along with Residents of the home.

Now a second batch have received it as the vaccine continues to be rolled out to Residents and Colleagues in care homes under guidance from the Department of Health.

This means the home is now one step closer to returning to some normality and Residents and Colleagues are hopeful about what the near future could hold.

Melbury Court Home Manager, Hazel Southern commented: “I am delighted that more staff could now be vaccinated. We are proud of all the staff that have had the vaccine to protect themselves and our wonderful Residents.”
