Milngavie United Free Church donate hand knitted blankets to Glasgow care homeResidents at HC-One’s Wyndford Locks care home in Glasgow were gifted some lovely hand made blankets from the lovely ladies at Milngavie United Free Church.

Joan Crawford from the Milngavie Church craft group recently contacted Wyndford Locks to see if they could donate handmade blankets for their Residents.

Colleagues at the home thought some lovely warm blankets just before winter would be a lovely idea, so they accepted, which has proved a very popular decision with Resident’s at Wyndford Locks.

Joan’s craft group originally started with only one or two members, but they now have over thirty and it’s a pleasure for the home to be connected with such wonderful and kind people.

Wyndford Locks Home Manager Karen Watson said: “It’s great to see a connection within the community which we hope will continue for many years to come.”

The blankets have been a great success and Joan has arranged for her craft group to do some more so that all Residents that would like a shawl or blanket can have one.

Wyndford Locks Resident, Karla Hunter said: “Such lovely blankets look at all the colours and different sizes. I can’t make my mind up on which one to have.”
