Motherhood reminiscence at North Shields care home

Having recently celebrated Mother’s Day at HC-One’s Redesdale Court care home in North Shields, the team thought it would be a lovely idea to arrange a motherhood reminiscence session for the ladies to enjoy.

Residents came together to remember their favourite things about being a mother, the team brought dolls and baby items for Residents to go through and hold. The ladies enjoyed sharing their memories of raising their children and watching their grandchildren and great-children grow.

The session was enjoyed by all, with all of the women agreeing that motherhood was one of the greatest gifts in life.

Redesdale Court Resident, Joany commented: “I missing being a mummy to little ones, but I’m happy mine have grown up and had little ones of their own.”

Redesdale Court Home Manager, Daniel Ridley said: “I am so pleased that our ladies enjoyed their motherhood reminiscence, the smiles on their faces really said it all.”
