Mountain Ash care home Residents follow the yellow brick road at Aberdare Theatre visit

Residents at Aberpennar Court care home in Mountain Ash enjoyed a recent visit to Coliseum Theatre Aberdare to watch a production of the Wizard of Oz.

Everyone enjoyed watching the famous story of Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow and of course To-To the dog as they followed the yellow brick road to Oz.

Residents enjoyed singing along to the classic song list and were even treated to a refreshing ice cream in the interval.

One Resident commented: “I had such a lovely day! The Wizard of Oz was one of my all-time favourite musicals growing up.”

Alison Durbridge, Home Manager at Aberpennar Court, said: “Everyone had a fantastic afternoon at the theatre. It really does make everything worthwhile seeing our Residents smiling and enjoying themselves.”
