Colleagues and Residents at HC One’s Shelton Lock care home upgraded the home for their budgies.
Mid October saw not only the start of the home's refresh project, but it saw the Derby care home's budgies move in to their bigger and better aviary too.
Whilst the aviary was being upgraded, the budgies spent the morning meeting the Residents.
One of the Residents said “we are having our home painted, so it is nice that the budgies are getting an update to their home too.”
Whilst on tour around the home, Residents reminisced about having budgies as pets when they were younger. Budgies were a popular pet, often kept in pairs in cages in houses, green and blue being the most popular colours.
The home manager said “The budgies are a popular feature, it’s nice that we are able to coincide the refurbishment of the home with that of the aviary.”
