Nutrition and Hydration Week at Knowles CourtResidents at HC-One’s Knowles Court, residential and nursing care home, in Bradford, have been celebrating with a themed tea trolly.

The Residents and Wellbeing Team have been extremely busy with arts and crafts this month for the themed tea trolley, for Nutrition and Hydration week.

A Mad Hatters tea trolly was decided as the theme by the Ryecroft unit, the Residents made hats, rabbits, cats and signs. 

Whereas the Fairfax unit decided they would like to do ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’. They made a streetlamp, sleighs, trees and a wardrobe.

The Residents really enjoyed making the cakes and crafts, Eileen, a Resident, commented, “I really enjoyed making the trees with Pauleen.”

The kitchen staff did an excellent job with the food and drinks for the trolleys. Julie, from the Wellbeing Team baked and decorated an Alice in Wonderland cake with was lemon and white chocolate.

Samantha Whinray, Care Home Manager, remarked, “It was great fun for the Residents to get involved with the crafts and baking!”
