Residents enjoyed celebrating Oktoberfest today at
Overdene House residential and nursing care home, in Winsford, with lots of decorations and fun.
Those involved took part in 'Beer and Bingo' with Oktoberfest bracelets and badges as prizes; beer and pretzels were also served between the games.
Residents also enjoyed a themed menu tea of frankfurter hotdogs and Saeurkraut with apple strudel for dessert. Then the day was finished off the day by watching The Sound of Music.
Wellbeing Coordinator, Rebecca also dressed up in a dirndl which the Residents really enjoyed talking about.
Everyone including Betty (pictured) loved watching The Sound of Music together and one Resident commented, “It was a lot of fun! Something a bit different.”
Rebecca (pictured) remarked, “It was great to see the smiles on the Residents’ faces as we celebrated Oktoberfest.”
