Pen Pals at Wellingborough care home

Residents at HC-One’s Acacia Lodge care home have enjoyed taking part in a pen pal initiative, with one Resident in particular, enjoying it as they befriended a local girl guide.

The girl guide, named Kimberley, wrote to the home as part of one of her girl guide badges, and Marilyn, a Resident, happily responded.

After exchanging around three or four letters talking about a variety of subjects, including the pets they had growing up and how they have felt during the recent situations, the two have became good friends.

Marilyn remarked: “It’s lovely to hear from Kimberley, it cheers me up so much and the pictures she draws for me are so colourful.”
