Picnic in the garden for Himley care home Residents

Residents at HC-One’s Himley Mill Care Home embraced the spring sunshine this week as they enjoyed a lovely picnic in the home’s sensory garden.

Homemade treats such as sandwiches and cakes were enjoyed alongside some delicious sausage rolls and crisps as everyone enjoyed a lovely lunch outdoors for the first time in a while due to the weather.

The garden was also decorated with some lovely summer themed bunting and balloons to celebrate further. 

One Resident remarked: “It was lovely to listen to the birds in the garden during lunch, the sunshine was a wonderful addition.”

Located in the neighbourly village of Himley, just outside Wolverhampton, Himley Mill is a friendly care home with 86 beds, that offers nursing and nursing dementia care, as well as care for young people with physical disabilities.
