Residents at HC-One’s The Birches care home in Crieff dawned their chef whites and came together for a pizza making class.
Fresh pizza base dough was prepared by the kitchen team, Residents enjoyed rolling out the bases and selecting their favourite toppings. Everyone enjoyed chatting as they created their own pizzas, sharing their suggestions for the best topping combinations.
When the pizzas were cooked everyone came together to enjoy a slice, or two. Residents commented on how delicious their pizzas were and said they are looking forward to their next pizza making class.
The Birches Home Manager, Janette Matias said: “Everyone’s pizza smelt and looked delicious, it was lovely to see a variety of different flavours and toppings being used.”
Located on Comrie Road, The Birches care home offers short and long term care packages for older ladies and gentlemen that require residential care and residential memory care for those living with dementia.
The care home also boasts a 10/10 average user rating on the sectors leading comparison website, carehome.co.uk giving The Birches the highest rating of all the 1048 care homes in Scotland.
