At residential care home,
Worsley Lodge, in Manchester, one Resident has got her chef hat on and created an authentic Italian dish.
Rita, pictured, worked with the home’s Wellbeing Coordinator to make a delicious pizza today in a one-to-one session.
They made a vegan pizza as well as other selections. Afterwards, Residents and Colleagues sat with a cup of tea and biscuits chatting about how they used to bake at home for their children and agreed that, “You cannot beat homemade food!”
Rita commented, “I enjoyed baking, it brought back lots of growing up memories and smells.”
Anne Bannon, Care Home Manager, said, “It’s clear the Residents enjoyed this activity and it is nice to hear the stories of home cooking.”
