Residents have been using their green fingers to take part in flower arranging this week at HC-One’s The Polegate care home in East Sussex.
Rose, an aptly named Resident at the home, decided she would like to make a lovely bouquet and give it to another Resident, Barbara, who hadn’t been feeling well and couldn’t attend the flower arranging activity.
Barbara commented: “The smell reminds me of the garden. It brings back a lot of memories.”
Rose’s kind gesture was incredibly touching and cheered Barbara up as she spent the rest of the day smiling at them and telling everyone how beautiful the flowers are.
The Polegate Home Manager, Daniel Bartram, said: “It’s nice to bring the outside in.”
