Pontefract Residents learn a bit of piano playingColleagues at Priory Gardens residential, nursing and residential memory care home, in West Yorkshire, have introduced a new activity to Residents recently in the form of keyboard playing.

Residents, including Dorothy Kocyigit and Noreen Sensicle, expressed how they would like to try the keyboard and Freda Gothard, who lives at the home, surprised everyone with her wonderful ability of playing the tune ‘Chopsticks’.

Everyone loved learning a new skill and Freda commented, “I’d forgotten I could play and it all came back to me!”

Allison Gill, Care Home Manager, remarked, “It is so important to try new activities and we are never too old to learn a new skill.”
