Preston Colleague goes the extra mile

Meadow Bank residential, nursing and nursing memory care home, in Bamber Bridge, celebrated one of their Colleagues achieving an award from HC-One. 

Dawn Ward, who works as the home’s Wellbeing Coordinator, was presented with a Kindness in Care Award today. 

Recently, Dawn had heard that a Resident really wanted to watch the Bohemian Rhapsody film. So, she went out and purchased the movie herself and then came in out of her working hours with a portable television and DVD player, so that the Resident could enjoy the film in his room.

For this she received the very well-deserved award. 

Home Manager, Nigel Francis, commented, “It's lovely to recognise Dawn for going above and beyond especially during these difficult times.”
