Residents at HC-One’s Elmwood House care home enjoyed celebrating Pride month as they took part in a cake competition.
Four of the most talented Resident chefs took part in making the cake for their competition entry – everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves as they took turns to mix the mixture and once cooked, layered the cake with jam and cream before decorating.
One Resident remarked at how excited they were as they had not baked in such a long time.
Everyone enjoyed sampling the cake and remarked that they can’t wait to make another one again soon.
Tracey Klue, Home Manager, commented: “We’ve really enjoyed ourselves today, the baking smelt delicious!”
