Residents and team members at HC-One’s Sabourn Court care home in Leeds showed their support for their LGBTQ+ community with a special Pride Month party.
An annual celebration each June, Pride Month is held in honour of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, which was a tipping point in the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States.
The team arranged a special Pride celebration with a variety of food and beverages for Residents to enjoy, along with a homemade cake and a themed quiz. A great time was had by all, with Residents commenting that the party was very fun and in honour a very important movement.
Sabourn Court Home Manager, Susan Winterburn said: “I am pleased our Residents enjoyed their Pride party, smiles and laughter filled Sabourn Court from start to finish.”
