Radcliffe care home unveil newly refurbished pubIt has been a team effort at HC-One’s Rose Court care home, in Radcliffe, Manchester, as Residents and Colleagues got together to revamp the home’s pub.

Those involved got stuck in and helped to give the walls a lick of paint and give it that homely touch by displaying some fantastic new artwork.

The pub was officially reopened by Resident Peter and Home Manager Leanne Batten-Smith (both pictured).

Peter commented, “Wow, I really like the new look!”

Peter, and fellow Resident John, then stayed for a drink of beer, and Leanne challenged Peter to a game of darts!

The home has now introduced ‘Happy Hour’ just before dinner in the evening and the space can also be used by family members when they visit, to enjoy a drink with their loved ones.

Residents thoroughly enjoy having a glass of beer in a pub-style environment.

Allison Porter, Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “The pub was in need of a new look. Now it has the ‘wow factor’ and it can be used as an enjoyable space for all.”
