On 17th February as part of Random Acts of Kindness Day, Foley Grange Care Home are celebrating the small but meaningful gestures that help brighten the lives of residents, colleagues and the wider community.
At Foley Grange care home in Kidderminster, the team marked the day by welcoming visiting ambulance crews, nurses and other healthcare professionals for their regular cuppa and cake stop. The initiative is offered as a standing invitation, giving frontline professionals a warm space to take a short break, recharge and connect with the care home team while out on calls in the local area.
The gesture has become a valued part of daily life at Foley Grange, reflecting the home’s commitment to being an active, welcoming part of the community and recognising the dedication of healthcare colleagues who support residents and their families.
Beth Phillips, Front of House Manager at Foley Grange Care Home, said:
“Our ambulance crews, nurses and healthcare colleagues work tirelessly to care for people in our community, often in challenging circumstances. Offering a cup of tea and some cake is a small way for us to say thank you and let them know how much we appreciate their compassion and commitment. It’s a simple gesture, but it means a lot to everyone involved.”
Random Acts of Kindness Day serves as a reminder that even the smallest actions can make a meaningful difference. By opening their doors and sharing a moment of warmth and appreciation, the Foley Grange team is helping to strengthen relationships across local health services and demonstrate the power of kindness in action.
Foley Grange is also welcoming new residents with an introductory offer of four weeks of care for the price of three, designed to help families experience the high-quality care, facilities, and community atmosphere the home provides.
