Ready, steady, cook! Baking afternoon at Calverton care home

Residents at Springwater Lodge care home in Calverton put on their aprons as they enjoyed a baking afternoon.

After discussing their favourite sweet treats, Residents decided to bake some rice crispy cakes together. 

While listening to some all-time favourite musical hits, Residents got to work on mixing the rice crispy mixture and separating it into cake cases. 

Once the cakes had set, Residents enjoyed the tasty treats alongside a warm beverage. 

Residents reminisced about baking bread and cakes when they were younger, as Dorothy joked that she wanted to lick the bowl out afterwards!
