Redcar Residents enjoy an evening with Osmotherley brass bandThis week at Guisborough’s Park House, which provides residential and residential dementia care, Residents welcomed an Osmotherley brass band into the care home.

Residents had a fantastic evening with the Osmotherley brass band and very much enjoyed their music. The band were very warm and friendly which created an atmosphere that was so joyful and relaxing. The band played something for everybody from military marches and hymns to easy listening and pop, including some hits from Elvis and ELO (Electric Light Orchestra).

There was a good selection of songs from musicals as well and rounded off a fantastic concert all round. After the event, light refreshments were served for Residents, Relatives and also for the band who stayed for a short time. Their popularity amongst the Residents did not go unnoticed and the band has already been booked back to attend around Christmas time.

One Resident said, “Absolutely wonderful, did just the job” whilst another said, “When are they coming back?”
Julie, the Home Manager went on to say, “The Residents were clearly in their element with such a wonderful evenings entertainment”.
