HC-One’s Millcroft Care Home in Redditch, Worcestershire, is thrilled to announce that it has been honoured with an Inclusive Employer Award from the Heart of Worcestershire College.
The prestigious accolade, presented on , June 3, 2025, recognises Millcroft’s outstanding commitment to its Supported Internships Programme, which empowers students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to gain valuable work experience and transition into meaningful employment.
Through the programme, Millcroft Care Home provides a nurturing and supportive environment where interns can thrive. This year, interns contributed their talents to various tasks, including gardening and laundry services, gaining hands-on experience in a real-world work setting.
The impact of the programme has been transformative, with several students securing paid employment in the local area, allowing them to pursue their passions and build rewarding careers.
