A special Remembrance ceremony was marked at HC-One’s
Kings Park residential and nursing memory care, in Hurst Cross.
Lisa Joy, Care Home Manager, put the Remembrance ceremony on the television for Residents to watch in the lounge. Around 25 Colleagues and Residents gathered, socially distanced, and watched the ceremony.
Residents, including Bill Horton, Joan Taylor, Hillary Hoyle and Mike Davies, wore their poppies with pride and enjoyed a variety of food and drink which was provided while they watched a war film in the afternoon.
Colleagues Emma Smith and Steph Newton, who helped to organise the day, agreed it was successful and that Residents thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
One Resident remarked, “The food was delicious!”
Lisa added, “It was a lovely day celebrating Remembrance Sunday.”
