Reminiscing with former Man Utd player at Sunnyside care homeRon Poole, who lives at Sunnyside residential and residential memory care home, on Tameside has been talking to fellow Residents and Colleagues about his happy days when he used to play at Old Trafford!

Talking to fellow Residents Mary and Joyce, as well as Wellbeing Coordinator, Brenda, Ron discussed how he played for Manchester United in his younger years, just after the Munich Air Disaster. He had the opportunity to play for a few games under manager Matt Busby.

One of the Residents commented, “I have never met a famous person before and I loved to hear all about the old players such as Nobby Styles and Bobby Charlton!”

Brenda added, “Everyone enjoyed the discussion with Ron and he was very happy to share it.”
