Resident helps keep Glenrothes care home spick and spanAnne Michie, a Resident at HC-One’s Woodside Court care home in Glenrothes enjoys taking pride in her home, so the team have found ways to help Anne maintain her independence.

Throughout her life, Anne has always been one to keep a tidy and clean home, so when she moved to Woodside Court it was important to her to keep her routine. Each month Anne likes to clean her room, so the team provided Anne with her own hoover so that she can dust and hoover each morning with ease.

On some occasions, Anne also likes to offer a helping hand to the housekeeping team at Woodside Court by cleaning the handrails or dusting communal areas of the home.

Woodside Court Home Manager, Nicola Procter said: “It’s important for Anne to maintain her independence, so we encourage her to continue doing things that she enjoys, which happens to be cleaning. Anne keeps her room immaculate and always has a lovely smile on her face when her room is just how she likes it.”

Located on Woodside Way, Woodside Court care home offers short and long term care packages for people in Glenrothes that require nursing care and nursing memory care for those living with dementia.
