
Residents and colleagues at HC-One Scotland’s Hatton Lea Care Home in Bellshill, Lanarkshire, enjoyed a wonderful celebration of Burns Night on Sunday, marking the occasion with music, crafts and traditional Scottish treats.
Everyone donned their finest Scottish attire for the celebrations, creating a fantastic atmosphere filled with tartan and national pride. The highlight of the day was a special visit from local bagpiper Derek, who played traditional Scottish music for residents, bringing smiles all round as the sound of the bagpipes filled the home.
Residents also raised a toast to Burns Night with shortbread and a small glass of whisky, enjoying the chance to come together and celebrate Scotland’s culture and heritage in good company.
In the lead-up to the event, residents took part in a range of Scottish-themed arts and crafts activities, including painting Highland cow pictures and making tartan bows to decorate the home, helping to build excitement ahead of the celebrations.
