Residents at HC-One’s 40-bed nursing and nursing dementia care home, The Harefield, in the village of Harefield in Middlesex, celebrated St Patrick’s Day in style.
Colleagues at The Harefield dressed in green, and a fun photobooth session with appropriate props was provided for Residents to dress up and enjoy themselves. Small glasses of Guinness were available for those who wouldn’t to raise a toast to the patron saint of Ireland, and there was even an Irish-themed sing-along when a local singer appeared to give a special St Patrick’s Day performance.
One of the celebrating Residents commented: “There were shamrocks and leprechauns everywhere! It was a fantastic, fun-filled day and a good time was had by all.”
Home Manager Rebekah Axford said: “We have five Irish Residents in our care home, and this was a wonderful way to celebrate their heritage. Our Wellbeing Coordinator Amber Harris really outdid herself, decorating the whole home in fantastic St Patrick's Day decorations that encouraged a really enjoyable occasion.”
