Residents celebrate Easter with egg-citing competitionResidents at Needham Court, residential and residential dementia care home in Jarrow, celebrated Easter by holding an Easter Egg Decoration competition. The competition was organized by Lesley Norris, the Wellbeing Coordinator, who asked the kitchen staff to boil 24 eggs for the competition.

Residents were excited to participate in the competition, and they gathered all the paints and craft items they needed to decorate their eggs. They spent a pleasant afternoon chatting and sharing ideas while enjoying tea and biscuits.

The competition was a great success, and everyone got involved, including residents Audrey, Betty, Esther, Irene, and Sheila had a lovely time. Audrey's son even came to join in the activity and was amazed to see how much his mother was enjoying herself.

The Residents were thrilled with the finished eggs and enjoyed sharing ideas and looking at each other's creations. Audrey Swann was declared the winner of the competition, and she was awarded an Easter Egg and a certificate for the best-decorated egg.

Joann, the Care Home Manager, was delighted with the event and remarked, "seeing how everyone worked together and helped each other was great to see."

The competition brought joy to everyone who participated and provided a fun way to celebrate Easter at Needham Court.
