Residents from River Court Care Home in Watford, Hertfordshire recently had the pleasure of visiting Café West, a community café located at West Watford Church on Tolpits Lane, during the early days of spring. The café has become a much-loved destination, offering residents a welcoming space to connect with the wider community.
The outing on formed part of River Court’s Tuesday themed sessions, designed to bring residents together and encourage social engagement. With sunny weather and a calm, inviting atmosphere, it proved to be the perfect opportunity for residents to relax, enjoy hot refreshments, home-baked pastries, and desserts, and reconnect with familiar faces.
The visit not only provided a change of scenery but also fostered a sense of belonging and shared experience. Residents expressed their delight in the outing, with Johanna Furlong commenting, “Thank you for bringing me to the café, it made a lovely change,” and Sandra Connelly adding, “I enjoyed every bite of that cake.”
