Rose Court music therapy afternoonOn 8th January, Rose Court residential, residential memory care, nursing and nursing memory care home, in Manchester, had a music themed afternoon.

The Residents were given tambourines and shakers to play to their favourite songs. Christine chose the song ‘Maggie May’ and sang to the whole song. She also talked about how in the 1970s, she went to an after-show party of Rod Stewart, and he gave her a kiss! She talked about the gig and what she wore, high knee boots and a mini dress with a jacket.

Fellow Residents Kath and Bill chose Elvis, and Liz and Annie chose Rock. Janice went for the classics by Frank Sinatra. A lot of fun was had by all.

Everyone enjoyed the reminiscing and music. One Resident remarked, “It was good fun!”

Another Resident added, “It brings back a lot of memories.”

Karen Davies, Care Home Manager, said “It was an enjoyable afternoon playing music and seeing the Residents enjoying themselves.”
