Silverwood care home Residents and staff are working very hard for this year’s HC-One annual gardening competition.
Residents had a meeting to discuss how they would like to enter the competition and what they would like to see in the garden. Some expressed that they would like a fairy garden, which seems to be the latest trend for homeowners across the UK. It was discussed that when families and younger children can start visiting the home again, it would be a lovely addition.
So, Care Assistant Gemma thought she would work her magic and get to work. She set out with her two young boys to grant the wish of the Residents and what an amazing creation they made!
The fairy garden was made using two old tyres which were painted and stuck together made to look like a teacup. The fairy garden was then placed on top of the tyre.
The Residents absolutely love the new addition to the garden and are very excited for everyone to see it.
Home Manager, Carrie Davies, said, “It is wonderful that staff and Residents are embracing this project and huge thanks to Gemma!”
