Rowden Hill Residents fruit carving experienceThe activities at HC-One’s Avon Court care home have been stretching creativity levels among Residents as a Relative helped teach everyone how to carve artistic figures out of fruit!

Margaret’s husband offered to come into the 56-bed residential, nursing and nursing dementia care home to do some fruit carving for Residents. They made swans from apples, mice from lemons, and many other wonderful animals.

Ken Price, who lives at the care home and recently celebrated his 67th wedding anniversary, remarked “How clever, I like the swans best!”

Lyn, Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “It was fascinating to watch, and Residents were engrossed and did laugh at my attempts too!”
