At Sandon House residential and residential memory care home, in Mossley,
Father David, from St George’s Church of England, in Mossley, usually visits the home every month to bring communion. But lately there has been a difference and the service has held virtually.
Residents have really enjoyed the new style service and singing along to the hymns. Everyone if looking forward to the next one.
Louise Schofield, Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “It's important we still have that connection with the community.”
Today, Residents wanted to decorate the tree in the garden, to make the garden much more appealing and fun to look at. This is their main view at mealtimes so it was a great idea to spruce the area up a little.
Residents painted patterns onto large baubles and chose ribbon to hang them up with, see pictured. They are now admired by the Residents and the community as they pass by.
Resident Peggy commented, “I find painting really relaxing. It's one of my favourite things to do!”
