A sensory session was held today for Residents at HC-One’s
Yew Trees residential memory care home, in Dukinfield.
There was a robotic cat and other soft toy animals as well as aromatherapy with several smells to try; a hand massage was offered to Residents and some were also looking at a massage and yoga book.
The sensory cat went down very well with one Resident remarking, “That cat is so cute!”
Likewise, the aromatherapy was popular too, with another Resident commenting, “I liked the different smells.”
Lynda Bulley, the home’s Wellbeing Coordinator who organised the activity, said, “Another successful session that got many Residents involved and engaged.”
