Sharing Sheffield care home’s October newsNot only has Alexander Court residential and nursing care home, in Crookes, hosted their very own live entertainer this week, but lots more has been going on and Residents’ smiles are all that can be seen…

Last Friday, Residents enjoyed their favourite singing entertainer Bev Rooker once again for a singalong. One of the home’s newest Residents, David Bemrose, couldn't speak more highly enough of her, he was singing along and clapping after every song. “Isn't she wonderful? 1950's songs are my era!” he said. Jean Thompson, pictured left, also enjoyed a sing song too.

Residents particularly likes the songs that Bev sang, as they knew them all. Terance Dugan, who also lives at Alexander Court, added, “She’s really good.”

Following on with the news. Today, Resident Lillian Allan, pictured top middle, had her hair cut and styled today. This is a big achievement for Lillian as she very rarely enjoys sitting in the chair however; today she enjoyed a visit to hairdresser Nicola, and how lovely does she look!

Jimitha Jacob, Care Home Manager, commented, “What a wonderful week of activities here at Alexander Court, I am looking forward to seeing Residents take part in so much more in the coming weeks.”
