Residents and Colleagues at HC One’s Swallownest care home have been getting their harvest festival celebrations ready.
It is a very different year this year in the way the Sheffield home will celebrate, but the harvest festival will still be going ahead!
The home has created a lovely harvest display in the main lounge, and they have put out fresh fruit and fresh bread for Residents to enjoy in the afternoon.
A member of the team has made a scarecrow for the home, who the Residents have decided to name Kevin. He went down a treat and was a highlight of the day.
The Residents had a great laugh and loved ‘meeting’ Kevin the scarecrow. Resident Kathleen joked “well what can I say? I never thought I would have a man in my bed again.”
Laughter is so important in the home and the Residents have a great sense of humour. The day was filled with smiles and everyone had a lovely time.
