It has been a busy week for Residents and Colleagues at Alexander Court care home, in Sheffield, as they have been preparing for Easter and celebrating National Day of Reflection.
On 23rd March, marking one year since the first national lockdown, all Colleagues and Residents came together, in a socially distanced manner, and held a one minute silence. They also released balloons with messages of our thoughts and prayers to those who have lost their lives due to the pandemic.
Residents enjoyed being outside together and watching the pink balloons, pictured top right, go off up into the sky.
Also this week, the home received a large donation of Easter eggs from the local Morrisons store in Sheffield, see pictured, which will be donated onto the home’s raffle which has raised £90 for the Residents fund.
Care Home Manager, Jimitha Jacob, was over the moon with the Easter eggs and said it was a very kind gesture from the local store.
