Sunday 13th March 2022 marked a very special day at HC-One’s
The Glen care home, in Evercreech, which offers residential and nursing care, as Residents and Colleagues got together to celebrate a hundredth birthday.
Iris Withers, pictured, had family and friends visit her and received lots of lovely cards and presents throughout the day as she turned the milestone 100!
Kitchen Colleague Zoe made some tasty cupcakes, and the visiting area was decorated with balloons and banners.
Iris had a lovely day, and really enjoyed seeing family she hasn't seen in a long time. She was so pleased to receive her card from The Queen, which Wellbeing Coordinator Lisa Griggs framed for her.
All the Residents enjoyed some birthday cake and some refreshments with Iris and a tipple of sparkling wine was also enjoyed, to celebrate such a wonderful occasion.
Iris commented, “I'm emotionally exhausted, I had such a lovely day.”
Lisa added, “It was so lovely to see Iris enjoying herself, she had a lovely day.”
