Residents were in for a treat at
Park House in Guisborough which offers residential and residential memory care, for those living with dementia, when one of their favourite entertainers came back to the home.
The Residents were absolutely delighted to have him back to the home and were entertained as Laurie performed songs from all the Residents favourites Laurie performed songs from all their favourite singers, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Cliff Richard and the Drifters, also an old-time medley, which had all the Residents singing along.
Resident, Heather who had not seen Laurie before is an avid Country music fan and was delighted when he sang her favourite country song for her “Your My Best Friend”.
Some of the Residents wanted a little dance, especially to Elvis and the staff were happy to assist.
After the concert, the Residents and Laurie himself, all enjoyed Cornetto’s whilst the warm sunshine was streaming into the lower ground floor lounge.
Deputy Manager, Rikki was at the concert and commented, “It was so lovely to see the Residents enjoying themselves so much”.
