Special birthday surprise for Hertfordshire ResidentToday at River Court in Watford, which provides nursing, residential, residential memory care and nursing memory care, a special visitor came into the home.

Wendy, a Resident at River Court, celebrated her birthday today, with a visit from her beloved pet dog Jasper. Eric, Wendy’s husband, was kind enough to drop Jasper off to the Wellbeing team so that they could give Wendy a surprise.

Along with the usual birthday celebrations such as a nice cake and singing happy birthday to Wendy, the introduction of Jasper topped the day off for her. Colleagues commented how it was an amazing spectacle to see how happy it made Wendy with Jasper.

It was the icing on the cake for Wendy, who commented afterwards “It was beautiful to be able to see and spend time with Jasper on my Birthday, what a lovely surprise”. Colleagues also commented saying “it was a fantastic day for Wendy, it was nice to see her so Jubilant”.

Bijoy, the Home Manager said, “We are delighted to see the wellbeing staff organising special surprises for the Residents like this”.
