Spennymoor care home raises money for Resident’s Comfort Fund
Spennymoor care home raises money for Resident’s Comfort Fund
< Back to News
The team at HC-One’s Lothian House care home in Spennymoor are keeping fit and raising money for the Resident’s Comfort Fund with a twenty-four-hour exercise bike ride.
Friends and family have been donating to the Resident’s Comfort Fund as participating team members complete ten-minute sessions on the exercise bike each shift to reach the grand total of twenty-four hours on the bike which is due to be reached on Christmas Eve.
Bill, a Resident at Lothian House has always wanted his own exercise bike and volunteered to the help the team reach their goal by completing ten minutes on the bike each morning. The exercise bike has been thoroughly cleaned after each use to keep both Residents and team members safe and well.
Lothian House Home Manager, Jill Carr said: “I would like to thank everyone who has donated to our Resident’s Comfort Fund and the wonderful team members taking part in the challenge to help continue to raise funds.”
