Spooky Halloween party at Manchester care homeResidents and Colleagues at HC One’s Brookdale View care home got into the spooky spirit at their Halloween party.

To celebrate Halloween the two floors of the Manchester care home had a spooky themed tea party.

There were horror sized doughnuts and cake, brownies and skeleton skittles and ghoulish darts and puzzles to be played. No tricks, cheating or treating here - just plain old fashioned Halloween fun!

It was a good turnout of eight Residents upstairs and four downstairs – which meant there was just enough cake to go around.

Chris, the homes wellbeing coordinator, had suitably bedecked the activity room and dining rooms with festive chains and ephemera and there was time for a chorus of the ‘monster mash’ and other scary songs - Michael Jacksons' Thriller amongst them.

The staff and Residents all dressed up suitably scary with everyone noting that Chris's outfit was particularly scary - to which he replied, "I didn't have time to shave today, I always look like this in the mornings, before my first cuppa!”

Resident Barbara Nuttall commented “I thoroughly enjoyed getting out of the room, meeting the other Residents and just being silly!”

The home manager said "It was great to see the Residents interacting and dressing up and having fun, especially new resident Millie who enjoyed her 1st party.”

The party was spread over two floors (Residential & Nursing - for social distancing), and the WBC was able to go between the two parties to ensure everyone had a fair share of scary, Halloween Fun!
