Residents at
Fullarton, nursing and nursing memory care home, in Ayrshire, have recently celebrated St Andrews Day.
On the 30th of November, Residents at the home celebrated St Andrew the Scottish Patron Saint. Staff visited all three units of the home playing some good old Scottish songs and dancing.
A variety of Scottish treats were served, homemade tablet macaroon bars, tattie scones and pancakes. All washed down with a national favourite….Irn Bru!
The staff got into the dancing spirit donning their hats and showing everyone how to not do a ‘strip the willow’. The Residents loved watching them try, it was a good day!
One Resident, said, “Don’t give up on your job, you’re a better Carer than a dancer.”
Another Resident, added, “I really enjoyed this fun, when is the next party.”
Care Home Manager, Charlotte Beaumont, commented, “That was so much fun just to see the Residents smiling.”
