St Mellons Residents go around the world in 60 minutesToday at Quarry Hall residential and nursing care home, in Cardiff, Residents have had their very first outdoor entertainment back in over a year.

Due to the national restrictions, the home has been unable to provide live entertainment, but that all changed today as Residents smiled, danced and sang along to the performers for one hour this afternoon.

15 Residents joined in with the mini concert including Babs, Joyce, Vera, Molly, Rosalind, Betty, Fran, Kathy, Dian, Maisie. Millie, Jeanette, Joan, Pat and Ena. The theme was different countries from around the world with lots of costume changes and different songs.

Deputy Manager, Theresa Manfield, commented, “It was lovely to see the Residents enjoy themselves and it was amazing to see our Home Manager, Carla, up dancing too with the performers.”

“We had the utmost amazing morning with plenty of happy tears to go with it.”
