Colleagues and Residents at the
Millbrook Care Centre, which offers residential care on Tameside, celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on 3rd June with a party.
Residents were joined by their families to celebrate 70 years of Queen Elizabeth. The sun was shining, drinks were flowing (served from the home’s customised bar), snacks aplenty on the tables and accompanied by songs from various decades were played and sang by all.
The team also organised a fun game of ‘Pin the Jewel on the Crown’. Everyone had a great time, and a buffet was served to finish the off the day.
One of the Residents joked, “I am glad to see the sun is out for a change, you’re going to need more beer for the bar!”
Fellow Resident Jackie commented on how the decorations looked, “The décor looks lovely.”
Claire Jones, Care Home Manager, remarked, “It was lovely to get all our Residents and families together to mark a very special occasion and celebrate our Queen.”
