Residents were treated to a delicious Chinese-meal and traditional place settings to celebrate Chinese New Year at HC-One’s Forthbank care home in Kildean, Stirling.
Dr Lee Zhuang, a member of the local community, very kindly handmade a place setting for each Resident. He translated each of their names into Chinese and made each of them a beautiful origami bird as a napkin.
Residents were thrilled at all the effort he had put in to their traditional place settings as they sat down in the dining room ready to enjoy a Chinese-inspired meal.
One Resident commented: “The room looks beautiful and the food is great. What a lovely day.”
After their meal, Residents relaxed in the lounge to watch the 2021 Chinese New Year Gala live on television.
Forthbank Home Manager, Yvonne Graham, said: “Forthbank is known for celebrating all cultural events. Today our Residents really enjoyed the different foods and the atmosphere.”
