It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at HC-One’s Victoria House care home in Stockton, as Colleagues turn the homes garden into a Winter Wonderland.
As a way to treat Residents this Christmas, Colleagues at Victoria House decided to go big outside and decorated the homes garden, to take on the theme of a winter wonderland.
This included adding icicles to the outdoor shade areas, solar lights to the balustrade around the decking area. Colleagues have also added solar powered Christmas tree lights to the walk ways and small Christmas trees with lights on. The fruit trees within the garden have also had a makeover with lights, pearl garlands and Christmas decorations added.
On nicer days, Colleagues are trying to take Residents on a tour of the garden wrapped up nice and warm, to get them into the festive spirit.
Victoria House wellbeing coordinator, Carley Barker said: “The Residents in our home are big fans of Christmas. We try to do something slightly different each year to keep the enjoyment going.”
