Sunderland care home Residents enjoy a delicious spread of pancakes

Residents at HC-One’s Falstone Court care home in Roker, Tyne and Wear are enjoying a feast of pancakes for Shrove Tuesday.

Colleagues set up a beautiful trolley filled with all the toppings you could imagine, including fresh fruit, lemon juice, chocolate, whipped cream and various flavoured syrups.

Residents also enjoyed other sweet treats, including chocolate-dipped strawberries, bananas and marshmallows.

Maureen, a Resident at Falstone Court, commented: “I really love the pancakes. Very nice and tasty.”

While each Resident had their firm favourite toppings, the clear winner for the home was a combination of chocolate, strawberries and cream. Everyone enjoyed their special treat for Pancake Day as they helped themselves to as many pancakes as their hearts desired.
