Sunderland care home Residents explore magical fairy trailResidents at HC-One’s Ashbourne Lodge care home in Ashbrooke, Sunderland enjoyed reminiscing in their local park as well as exploring the new fairy trails which have been created for the local children.

Ashbourne Lodge is situated close to Backhouse Park, a place where Residents have fond memories of visiting during their childhood and taking their own children. Residents enjoyed a trip down memory lane with a visit to their local park, they also enjoyed exploring the parks most recent addition of an enchanted fairy garden.

Everyone enjoyed spotting the doors to the different fairy houses and discovering other magical items hanging from the trees.

Ashbourne Lodge Resident, Ivy commented: “What a beautiful time I’ve had walking around looking at all of the lovely things hid in the trees, it’s really made my day.”

Ashbourne Lodge Home Manager, Punam Randhawa said: “We are very lucky to have such a wonderful park on our doorstep, I am pleased our Residents enjoyed a stroll around the grounds and enjoyed the most recent addition to the park.”
