Sunderland care home Residents have lots of fun on open dayResidents at Ashbourne Lodge care home in Sunderland, have recently had lots of fun at the care homes open day on the 7th July.

Lots of fun was had by the Residents of Ashbourne Lodge as they care home hosted a fantastic open day for their Residents and families. 

To start off the fun, Julie the care homes Administrator dressed up as Mrs Bucket from the popular television programme, ‘Keeping up appearances’.

There was lots of fun and games on the day and a fantastic entertainer called, ‘Wor Vera’ came along to sing to all the Residents. 

The Residents has so much fun playing games and joining in with lots of activities. Families of the Residents donated funds for prizes, so all of the Residents were able to win an amazing vintage prizes. 

Every Resident had such a lovely day and some even went on to say it was the best day they have had whilst living at Ashbourne Lodge.

Colleague, Joanne Milner, said, “That in all the years I have worked at Ashbourne Lodge, this has been the best day we have ever had.”

Jessie Eden, a Resident at Ashbourne Lodge, commented, “That Mrs Bucket was the funniest lady ever! It has been hilarious.”

Punam Randhawa, Care Home Manager, remarked, “Thank you for our Admin who has helped to organise this open day. The Residents families has so much fun and so did all the staff and Residents.”
