Foxton Court, residential and residential memory care home, in Morpeth have thrown a surprise baby shower for one of the Colleagues at the home.
Residents and staff decided to throw a beautiful surprise baby shower for Maddie a Senior Carer at Foxton Court.
Maddie found out she was pregnant earlier this year and was thrilled to share the news will everyone and more so when she found out she was having a little boy.
Residents and staff gathered in the lounge to wait for Maddie to walk in on her surprise baby shower. The lounge was decorated with blue bunting, lots of balloons and little party favours to make the party even more special.
Everyone played games which included: guess the weight of the baby and guessing the nursery rhymes. There was a box where Residents were able to put in pieces of advice for the new parents to be.
Kat, Head of Service, made a fabulous cake, it was so nice nobody wanted to cut it and spoil it. Residents enjoyed sipping on refreshments and having a merry old time.
One Resident, said, “We will miss Maddie, but can’t wait to hear of your new arrival. You will be a fantastic Mother.”
Irene, another Resident, added, “Enjoy while they are little because in the blink of an eye they have grown up.”
Maddie, commented, “I had no idea anyone had planned this. What an emotional but special surprise, thank you all for your kind wishes, advice and gifts.
